First off, sorry I haven’t been on in a while-I’ve been busy with school and trying to figure out if I’m graduating or not….but as of right now, 5/24/2016…..I AM OFFICIALLY A GRADUATE OF GEORGIA MILITARY COLLEGE.
(Yep…that’s how I feel right now…thanks to Jeremy Renner 😉 )
And honestly…I’m very happy and very excited to be graduating that I’m honestly anxious for my graduation. Is that weird to say? I guess it is, because I really wanna graduate and transfer to Kennesaw State University (fingers crossed if I get accepted!!) and during the summer, I try to read more books and try to blog on here more (which I keep neglecting to do, but now I’m graduating, you might get more posts on here about the process of transfer and things like that) and then when it’s time for me to leave the nest, I’ll bring y’all along so you can follow me on my adventures at KSU!
SO CONGRATS TO ME AND ALL THE GRADUATES OF 2016!!!! Let’s hope our next chapter is awesome than the first one!!
Last Saturday I went down to Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley for an open house, and during this open house as I went and talked to everyone on their respective departments in the most beautiful student center (which had a closed Chik-Fil-A) and got a lot of information-a lot to think about since I might be finally graduating from GMC after my math class-and even though I’m not thinking about going here, it’s still on my list.
So after I got done talking to everyone, including the two sororites, Sigma Gamma Rho and Alpha Kappa Alpha (the AKAs), I went upstairs to one of the banqet halls to see their little program, explaining what I might can do if I do get accepted to Fort Valley State, and also I enjoyed the little performance the (I forgot what the group was called) we went back downstairs to ask the students questions and answer trivia. Then we seperated into groups to go on a little college tour.
The campus is so beautiful and pretty-and I think I fell in love with it, even though it’s the third school I’m considering, along with Kennesaw State University and the University of West Georgia. We also went to see what the dorms look like (theirs were set up and was furnaced by Bed, Bath and Beyond) and I went to the girls’ side of the dorm to see what it’ll look like.
After we ate at the cafe, me and my dad (nope, didn’t go alone) walked around the school a little bit more.
That statue of the wildcat is awesome-had to take a photo of it 🙂
The beautiful student building I went into for the Open House before we went on the tour.
And with the last photo of the football field, that is it for my photo-heavy post of my open house I went to at Fort Valley State University. The college is beautiful and they do have what I wanted to study (mass communications/English) and they do have French and Japanese (I’m thinking about doing it again since I did two quarters of Spanish).
I think this is quite shocking to me, really. It is.
If you know me, then you now that I’m BLOODY TERRIBLE AT MATH. VERY. BLOODY. TERRIBLE. AF. I’ve taken ONE math class out of my ENTIRE THREE YEARS OF BEING THERE AT GMC and for some reason, I can’t pass it WORTH A BLOODY SHIT.
But now…SOMETHING IS HAPPENING I DON’T KNOW WHAT IT IS.
Wanna know what that thing was?
I’m. Passing. My. Math. Class.
I’m quite shocked that I’m passing my class-and I don’t wanna jinx it, really, but I HOPE THIS IS THE LAST BLOODY TIME I TAKE MATH BECAUSE I REALLY HATE IT. But I’m slowly adjusting to the fact that I’m passing my math class and I hope to god that I do pass this class, because….*whispers* I’m starting to like it. A Lot.
