Last Saturday I went down to Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley for an open house, and during this open house as I went and talked to everyone on their respective departments in the most beautiful student center (which had a closed Chik-Fil-A) and got a lot of information-a lot to think about since I might be finally graduating from GMC after my math class-and even though I’m not thinking about going here, it’s still on my list.
So after I got done talking to everyone, including the two sororites, Sigma Gamma Rho and Alpha Kappa Alpha (the AKAs), I went upstairs to one of the banqet halls to see their little program, explaining what I might can do if I do get accepted to Fort Valley State, and also I enjoyed the little performance the (I forgot what the group was called) we went back downstairs to ask the students questions and answer trivia. Then we seperated into groups to go on a little college tour.
The campus is so beautiful and pretty-and I think I fell in love with it, even though it’s the third school I’m considering, along with Kennesaw State University and the University of West Georgia. We also went to see what the dorms look like (theirs were set up and was furnaced by Bed, Bath and Beyond) and I went to the girls’ side of the dorm to see what it’ll look like.
After we ate at the cafe, me and my dad (nope, didn’t go alone) walked around the school a little bit more.
That statue of the wildcat is awesome-had to take a photo of it 🙂
The beautiful student building I went into for the Open House before we went on the tour.
And with the last photo of the football field, that is it for my photo-heavy post of my open house I went to at Fort Valley State University. The college is beautiful and they do have what I wanted to study (mass communications/English) and they do have French and Japanese (I’m thinking about doing it again since I did two quarters of Spanish).
